Job Description

Greenwood Connections, a premier assisted living facility in Menahga, MN, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team. The Resident Assistant will be responsible for providing support to residents with daily activities, fostering a safe and supportive environment, and promoting resident independence and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to nursing staff
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
  • Help residents participate in recreational activities and social events
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures
  • Act as a positive role model for residents and uphold the values and mission of Greenwood Connections

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
